So of course for cinco de mayo we had to make some margaritas. My sister and I always used to make mango margaritas in college for some reason. I haven't made one in so long, and decided it was about time. We used to just throw things into the blender until it tasted right, but this time Michael found a recipe from Texas Monthly. We altered some of the ingredients from the original recipe just a bit. It was delicious! Tasted like a smoothie though, so be careful! If you have little kiddies around, I'm sure it would still be tasty without the alcohol :) We don't yet have margarita glasses, so served it in some nice salt-rimmed wine glasses with a lime wedge. If you have a smaller blender, make it in 2 batches.
Ingredients
- 1 cup tequila
- 1/2 cup Triple Sec
- 1/2 lb. frozen mango cubes
- 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
- 1/2 cup fresh lime juice
- 1/4 cup fresh orange juice
- 1 tbsp. sugar
- 2 handfuls ice
Directions
- Place ingredients in a blender and blend until ice is well mixed. Serve and enjoy!

Mango is one of my favorite fruits. I am sure it's amazing in a amargarita.
Delicious sounding Margaritas! And the color is so refreshing as well.
I love mango margaritas! They look so delicious and refreshing!
Oh how yummy! This would have gone well with my lunch of tacos today, and ward off the mucky overcast humidity today!
I choose however not to drink to early in the day, or I would be in the boat of Leslie! Not a making of happy memories, lol
This sounds really delicious! And I even happen to have a bag of mango in the freezer right now.
Those look amazing!!!!
